Let’s dive into my May fake client project; a website and brand for a virtual yoga teacher!
This month I gave my Instagram followers two different options for my new fake client:
Virtual Yoga teacher or an elopement photographer.
As I have recently started to niche down more, I wanted to create a few websites which reflect the type of businesses I wanted to attract.
Here is a sum of of my projects until now:
March: Fun Vegan Cafe
April: Contemporary Florist
May: Virtual Yoga Teacher
I made a deal that whichever one lost, I would do for the month of June – so stay tuned!
Once we decided on the type of business we would be doing together, I put together 3 different mood board options to choose from.

Mood Board 3:
I used some custom fonts that felt aligned to the ‘energising’ brief. While I played with a few different styles, but for the main logo, I loved the look of the star flares and layered text.
It’s important to make sure that your logo is adaptable and is able to be used in a monochromatic setting, so I cut into the writing to create space around the ‘L’ script letter.
For the final website mockup, I wanted to really add some movement. I decided to take an extra little bit of time to build the homepage out in Showit. This meant I was able to add a video header and parallax scrolling to the site.
While it was extra work, I think it makes all the difference in the site. Mockups always look so much more magical when they get made in Showit!
Next month I will be creating a brand and website for an elopement photographer. I have been waiting a while for this one and I am super excited.
