A little while ago I talked about opt-in funnels, why they are important and the different types you can have. Today I am adding to that by discussing how to set up your opt-in Freebie on your website.

.

As this is valuable free content, you will have to fill out the form to access the free video. (Don’t worry, the video will show you the exact process I use to do this!) Once you fill out the form, you will be redirected straight to the unlisted Youtube video tutorial.

What you will need to set up your opt-in Freebie:

1. Your opt in for the discount or service.

If you haven’t decided on a freebie yet, I recommend reading my post and IGTV videos about the types of opt-ins you can have, and doing a brainstorm of your own.

This tutorial will not go over how to make your freebie. It assumes you already have it completed, exported, polished up and ready to go in a zipped folder, Google Drive folder or PDF.

2. Online landing page

As a web designer, I think an actual website is CRUCIAL for this to work well, especially since you will be able to access the analytics directly from it. However, it’s not the only way; if you don’t have a website, many email marketing platforms will allow you to host a landing page through their platform. You won’t have your own domain name attached to it, but if you are in a rush, can do it that way.

3. An email marketing platform

I have to say it…

Please don’t use the free version of MailChimp. Sorry, Mailchimp, please don’t sue me. To be honest, I’ve never used the paid version of MailChimp so I’d say it’s probably a lot different, but MailChimp free version can be extremely limiting and what we are about to do won’t work as well.

The three platforms I highly reccommend are:

  • Mailerlite – FREE
This is the platform I use and it honestly does the job. It’s free up to 12,000 emails a month or 1000 subscribers.
  • Flodesk – PAID
I honestly have never used Flodesk, so I can only go on what other’s say about it. They rave about it!
  • ConvertKit – PAID
Another I haven’t personally used – but super popular as well.

*These are not affiliate links. Again, I use Mailerlite, so I have no need for discounts or Affiliate payouts.
