Pretty Little Events is a Toowoomba, Queensland based event styling, co-ordination and prop hire business servicing the Darling Downs & beyond.

Danielle found me via Instagram back in December last year and we began the massive process of working together and collaborating on her event planning and prop hire website

Diagnosis

After launching her business last year, Danielle grew quickly and was finding she was spending way too much time selling and chatting with her portential client’s in the DM’s.

Danielle had previously tried to DIY her own Wix Website, however the complexity of her business made it hard to effectively list her items to rent.

Unlike a ecommerce website, this means that customers would have to choose their dates before seeing if an item is available.

Solution

While there are some WordPress plugins that do this, we decided to start by using a cheaper option by utilising Shopify.

Shopify is an ecommerce platform which makes it really easy to add new products, vendors, categories and more. It can aslo integrate with Instagram to give you shoppable products!

I was able to manipulate the liquid code on the site to disable the ‘add-to-cart’ feature and instead use a custom form on each product page for clients to be able to enquire directly without having to visit multiple pages.

Using a page builder we were also able to showcase Danielle’s event planning abilities and some of the amazing events she’s planned and been part of.

While it might not be a forever website, it’s the perfect website for the current stage of business that Danielle is in and will allow her to easily add more products and grow with her business.

The site features gorgeous photography, videography, custom stamp graphics made by myself and a modern, layered design!
